- Tay is a normal guy and really consistent in nearly every way.
- Zac is misunderstood. He is considered by many people who don't know him
to be the loud, goofy, obnoxious one. Most of the time he is the level-headed,
cut-to-the-chase brother. He's a little bit Keith Moon and a
little Mellow Dude.
I thought this would be a nice way to start the page off by
Ike talking about his brothers.
- Getting to make the music, and having a good time doing it, is the most
important thing to us.
- I will be completely honest: I do not listen to Backstreet Boys,
'N Sync or Britney Spears. It's just not appealing to me on a musical
level.
- I hope I get to play 'MMMBop' for the next 50 years. What I'm concerned
with is whether people will eventually appreciate all our music.
- Q: Do you listen to your own Christmas CD Snowed In during the
holidays? What other Chrismas albums do you listen to during the Christmas
season?
Isaac: It is actually kind of funny....we do wind up hearing
a little bit of our Christmas album, mostly because our little brothers and
sisters are fond of the record. But we have a lot of other favorite
Christmas albums that we listen to long before we listen to Snowed In.
- Q: What is one Hanson family tradition that you guys will be
taking part in this christmas?
Isaac: I can't really think of a Christmas tradition!
Hmmm....
I guess you could see our Christmas is relatively
untraditional. We just have family over and open presents and spend time and
talk to your grandma, aunts and uncles and cousins....that's' our tradition.
- We went to see Lenny Kravitz last summer in Austin and he was awesome.
His show was just awesome. I mean, like, when you see some of these great
bands, you sit there and think, man, if only we were that tight, you know?"
You're pretty awesome yourself Isaac.
- I don’t think I’m particularly addicted to anything. An occasional cigar
here or there or a maybe some wine at dinner every once in a while.
- Q: Isaac, if you had to choose what college to go to... right
now!... what would it be?
Isaac: Tulsa is a very nice place, a lot of very friendly
people, it's a very laid back place.
- I've been playing the guitar for five years, which is kind of sad. I've
been playing for five years and I STINK!
I for one disagree Isaac.
- I've also gotten pelted in the face with a couple dollars' worth of change
before, which really hurts," said Isaac. "Like half a dozen quarters in
the face, bam, pow."
Ooo that's would hurt. I'm feeling the pain just thinking
about it.
- Q: So, I have these five fill-in-the-blank questions.....the first is 'I
know my brothers are secretly jealous of my BLANK'.
Isaac: Bulging pectorals........That's harder than it sounds. My
incredible guitar playing ability, ha ha! You can put that but put a "ha
ha" and a smiley face after it.
Ah so considrate he even cares about our reading pleasure
and how it looks on paper.
- I'm not going to curl up and die because a record doesn't sell well. I'm
in this for the long haul. I couldn't stop playing music if I tried. It's
like a drug. I'm addicted to it.
- I think people have this ill-conceived notion that, because (fans) are
screaming and because they're fanatical like that, that they don't
appreciate
the music. Maybe, to a certain extent, that can be true, but I
find that
most every single one out there is singing along. They really do
appreciate
the music and really do enjoy it in a very passionate way.
That's what's
great about it.
- Q: How have other bands and artists treated you?
Isaac: We've had people like Lenny Kravitz walk up to us and say, "Hey, I really
love your record." And we're thinking, whoa, Lenny Kravitz knows who we
are and he likes our music. That was really cool. Actually, we've been
embraced by many of our musical peers.
- The most stupid question we've been asked is, 'How did you guys meet?' All
you can say is, 'It was in the house. I came down the stairs one morning
and Zac was there. We're brothers, moron!'
